His love for Kansas City barbecue gave him the inspiration for establishing an internet destination  for those who seek information about barbecue restaurants and sauces in the Kansas City metropolitan area. "Kansas City is host to the finest barbecue restaurants in the world, and this website serves as the central internet guide for information about those restaurants and the people who operate them." 

Since its beginning, KANSASCITYBARBECUE.COM has evolved into a cultural zone for not only barbecue lovers, but also for those who seek information about local restaurant news and events.

KANSASCITYBARBECUE.COM  currently promotes over 100 area barbecue restaurants and:

• Provides on-line access to over 40 local menus with a goal of expanding access to menus for every barbecue restaurant in the Kansas City metropolitan area

• Provides information about locally made barbecue sauces and how to purchase them

• Established an on-line Hall of Fame to serve as  acknowledgement to those pioneers and innovators of the Kansas City barbecue restaurant industry
